Warren Karsgaard
Richmond Sports Council extends sincere condolences to Warren Karsgaard's family on his passing on February 14th, after a 2 1/2 year battle with cancer. Warren was a player, coach and executive, a stalwart of the Richmond baseball community. He was involved in Richmond Minor Baseball for over 40 years, a founder of the Lower Mainland Baseball Association and player and promoter of master's baseball.
The whole Richmond sports community will miss Warren's dry wit, committment to sports and his outstanding lifelong contribution.

Richmond Sports Awards
Each year, the Richmond sports community recognizes outstanding individual and team achievement in local sport.

Richmond KidSport
Every year, Richmond KidSport ensures over 280 children from low-income families can play sport. Since its founding in 2008, over $500,000 has been provided. Richmond Sports Wall of Fame
In 2005, Richmond Sports Council proposed to the City that Richmond institute a Sports Hall of Fame to celebrate the successes and contributions of members of the Richmond sports community to our city. This dream came to fruition in 2015 through the "Richmond Sports Wall of Fame" at the Olympic Oval.

Sports Council is the overseeing body for the Nominating Committee,and encourages Richmond's sport community to nominate members deserving this recognition. Click for more information.
